Mother and Child

The photo I used for this watercolor painting was taken in 1950. The young mother in this painting is now in her seventies, and the child is now in her fifties. What a pleasure it was for me to capture a moment in time for these ladies.

Technique: The technique is used in this piece is called "monochromatic," which means only one color of paint is used to paint the entire piece.
