Sunflower

I love nature and the magic of this beautiful place we call Earth. One of the most beautiful natural gifts to me is flowers. The fact that they start from a tiny seed and grow into a glorious thing of beauty is so amazing to me. This is why I chose a sunflower as the backdrop of this watercolor. The painting is surrounded by words to remind each one of us to live our lives in this way. I believe life is full of wonderful experiences both large and small. Sometimes we get so caught up in the rush of life we forget how precious each day is.

Technique: I used less water and lots of layering of color to get the boldness of the watercolors in this piece.
