Grove Park Inn

The Grove Park Inn is one of Asheville's most famous landmarks, built by E.W. Grove in 1913. It is a wonderful example of the arts and crafts style of architecture. It was listed as one of the worldÕs grandest hotels.

I was asked by the Gallery of the Mountains, a gift store and art gallery located inside the Inn, to create a painting of the hotel. I was inspired due to my love of history and the beauty of the hotel, from the amazing stonework to the beautiful terracotta roof. I love art, and the Grove Park Inn is a magnificent piece of craftsmanship from days gone by.
